Creating the Whispered Wows

My work is about helping established interior designers, boutique hospitality brands, and other creative businesses see what others miss.

I find and design the overlooked moments within the client journey—the story inside the gift, the creative detail that makes someone feel considered, and the small touches that turn a lovely experience into one that lingers.

My perspective was shaped by 25 years across luxury hospitality, events, and interior design—from Four Seasons and San Ysidro Ranch to a $44 million New York events house and celebrated designer showhouses.

A BESPOKE CLIENT JOURNEY FOR AESTHETIC BRANDS

The Experience Edit

A new, fresh look at your entire client journey — and the handful of moments that could become unmistakably yours.

A black and white photo of a magazine or white paper that says ART and experience. On top of that is an iPhone

Somewhere between a prospective client first reaching out and after the invoice has been paid and the file put away, there are dozens of touchpoints.

Some are already working. Some are missing. And a few could become so distinctive that they help define your brand.

The trouble is, they're nearly impossible to see from inside your own business.

Again and again, clients have told me that I helped them see what they couldn’t see from inside the business, brought them ideas they would never have found on their own, and made the business better.

Even when the work is excellent, loyalty can be won or lost in the quiet moments in between—the inquiry that felt ordinary, the handoff that felt rushed, the ending that arrived as an invoice instead of a feeling.

With The Experience Edit, I go through your business the way a secret shopper goes through a hotel — the inquiry, the emails, the proposal, the packaging, your website, the follow-through — all the while looking at the emotional connection you are making with your client.

I walk your client journey the way your client walks it, and I find the moments worth designing.

Who this is for: established, small lifestyle businesses who

  • know the importance of the client experience being both beautiful and consistent -

  • want the moments, the gifts, and the stories to feel less expected -

  • need experiences that are as distinctive and elevated as what you create.

What you’ll have and can use when we are finished with this.

Not simply a list of recommendations, but a beautifully considered blueprint for making your client experience feel as distinctive as the work itself.

  • A clear view of your complete client journey—including what is already working, where the experience loses momentum, and which overlooked moments hold the greatest opportunity.

  • Your Moments Map—a visual guide to the touchpoints worth refining, reimagining, or creating.

  • A collection of original, brand-specific ideas for the language, gestures, gifts, materials, stories, and finishing details that could become unmistakably yours.

  • A focused plan for bringing those ideas to life, organized by priority so you know what to do first, what can wait, and where your effort will matter most.

  • A follow-up refinement call to talk through your questions, shape the strongest ideas, and help you move forward with confidence. a beautiful, practical resource you can return to during implementation, future decisions, and team training:

You’ll stop wondering what you may be missing and have a clear path to a client experience that feels as considered as your work—one that deepens trust, strengthens loyalty, and gives clients more reasons to remember you, recommend you, and return.

No six-month engagement. No 80-page deck. No stack of generic Canva templates to figure out on your own.

Just a fresh, experienced eye, a clear plan, and original ideas designed for your business—not borrowed from someone else’s.

“A valuable, fresh look at any brand.”

“Kimberly helped me re-think my client experience completely. She helped me really get inside the shoes of my customer, whether they are attending a workshop, or visiting my website and came up with so many ideas for making that client feel more welcome and more appreciated. She contributes a valuable fresh look at any brand, one that's impossible to see when you work inside the company, and especially if you're a founder!”

A PERSONAL BRAINSTORM FOR YOUR EVENT

The 90-Minute Event Brainstorm

My eyes on your event, creating the whispered wows and the memorable moments, but also making sure it works - from planning to execution to the bubbles once it’s over.

a collage of event moments - cocktails, flowers, invitations, table settings, cakes, menus.

This is customized for what you need. How do we do that?

First, you fill out a form to make sure I can help you. You can be very specific about what you need, or I can look at your responses and suggest what might be the most helpful.

This is for the person who has been tasked with creating the launch party, the studio opening, the anniversary bash, the opening event soiree . You know you can pull it off, but perhaps a roadmap with checklists, creative ideas, and resources, plus another person to brainstorm with would make it so much easier - and make you both more productive and the star!

Or, you’ve done this, but this one has to be even more creative - special.

Or, you’ve never done this - where to start?

Since it is customized, your final deliverables depend on you, but here is typically what clients love:

  • A structure to the 90-minute call (which I will create) so that we get the most out of it and you walk away with truly helpful material

  • My run-of-show, timeline, and resources lists

  • A review of all the planning you have done thus far - what’s missing? What needs to be tweaked? Where can we be more creative and memorable? Can you save money?

  • Advice on Venue, Caterer, and Budget

Ideas on invitations - Handmade or printed? Emailed or paper with stamps? How do we keep them creative and on-brand?

  • Menu creation (if you already have your caterer). If you haven’t found your caterer, we can discuss what to ask, how much food is needed per person, etc.

  • Program - Creating a Program or Presentation that inspires action or emotion.

  • AV best practices

  • Ideas of how best to work with VolunteersCreative ideas for gifts/takeaways for your guests.

Typically, the things listed above go beyond a 90-minute conversation, but this is to help you know the types of things we can figure out and have ready to go.

FOR A TEAM RESET

I believe that if you are going to take the time, money, and resources to do a team retreat, one of the most important goals is to help your team live your brand experience and make the emotional connection that you create for your clients.

Women Entreprenurs Inc. Retreat in Beaufort, South Carolina

This will be available in early September, are here are the basics.

Who it’s for: Small (2-12 people), aesthetically-driven teams - interior designers, PR agencies, wedding planners - those who understand the power of moments, design, & experience, but need results and a solid ROI.

What it looks like: from brainstorming and strategy, to full concierge planning. This will be up to you, with advice from me.

How it’s different than most:

  • Most small businesses decide to invest in an offsite to either plan or make some changes - this is usually some sort of reset, which might be operations, team dynamics, stystems, client experience, marketing, etc. So, we start with the why and then design what your reset and your offsite should look like for the greatest success.

  • Client experience - the groups who hire me understand the value of their team members grasping and living the brand experience that they create for the clients. We weave that throughtout the entire offsite, from the welcome packet to the travel day, to workshops, activities, turndowns, and return to the office.

  • You get to decide how much you need me. I can teach workshops and attend offsites in certain parts of the country. But in between that and the basic brainstorm, I can create the collateral, source the swag, help plan your agenda to keep energy and creativity high while planning purposeful pause, which is often where the real magic happens.
